Throttle Body?

Throttle Body?
I got my car back today, my mechanic ran a pruduct called Virt (basically a german version of seafoam) through my intake and gas tank to clean out any dirt in the car. Well I got my car back, and the electrical problem I had seemed to dissappear. Im almost home, the car shuts off on me. I restart immediately, and then it runs fine, but everytime Im at a stop light or in neutral the revs would jump from 1000 to 1700 and it would just keep doing that. Do I just need to do a Throttle body adaptation? I looked at a few threads and even sites, and from what ive gathered is it simply just unplugging the battery for a few minutes and reconnecting it, or is there something else to it?

RE: Throttle Body?
ya unplug the batt. athen plug it back in, turn the car to the on pos but dont start it. let it sit there for like 30 seconds to a min and then you should be fine. also check to see if you have any vac leaks

RE: Throttle Body?
ok STOP
you have to get a VAG tool or know someone with a VAG tool
that is the ONLY way!!!!!, i have already ran into a similar problem after replacing the battery
i know its major gayness but you have to have the tool
and follow both throttle procedures found here:

RE: Throttle Body?
It wasn't idling at 1700, the gas pedal was actually moving on its own revving the car up to 1700 and then back to 1000. Over and over again.
Original Problem: https://www.audiforums.com/m_319210/.../tm.htm#319210
Problem One: https://www.audiforums.com/m_331152/tm.htm
What was fixed: Valve Cover Leak,
Turn off problem
What needs to be fixed: Airbag Light
Throttle Body
New Rotors/ Pads.
