automatics/tiptronic rarely see first gear so the only way to get it there is either the standard mode or the tip mode by flooring the peddle (same as when going up a very high incline or towing a caravan), and no it doesnt just dump loads of fuel in there but I do agree on the turbo bit and not as quick in response as the manual tranny
I disagree with the automatic not using first gear often. I know how many shifts it makes from a stop and when I shift over into tip-mode it's always where it should be.

As far as a boost leak or something, I guess it could be. I've also read a few things about the N75 valve being unreliable. Any thoughts on that? As far as the "symptoms" go, that would make sense.
