I bought my car with blown shocks and i just put on some bilstein sports and it already had the H&R springs.

BUT.... i was hearing this thudding noise when i hit bumps, but i thought it was just the blown shocks..... NOPE! It's still def there and i have no idea what it is.... but my car handles great

so i was wondering if anyone has any idea what it could be.... could there be rattling going through the shock towers and into the front mounts???? New bushings???? it's coming mostly from driviers front... but it's really all over..... i could be just hyper sensitive but i don't like my susp thunking i would like it nice, so if anyone has any ideas lemme hear it!

 

bushings in control arms possibly..

 

yes check them control arms, is the boot torn? no? then check the tierod ends, is the boot torn. No? yes? does it go kerplunk when pulling in to driveways? yes? its the control arms then. ooh its not the control arms. hmmmm? must be the tie rod ends.

If thudding/clunking when you slowly go over bumps, think tie rod end.

 

Had the clunk. Replaced tie rod ends. Still have the clunk. I would recommend replacing the tie rod ends and the upper control arms. I think I corrected part of the problem (tie-rod end ball joints), but still have the control arm ball joints causing some clunk.
