ORIGINAL: jblum

I havn't changed it yet, but I'm going to do it instead of taking it in. I was wondering if anybody knows where i can get the Mann filter other than the internet or the dealership.

Why not just buy the genuine part? You'd be surprised at how cheap it is.

Mann filter is a genuine part. Mann, Bosch and Mahle are all OEM filters.
Try a local euro mechanic shop for the filter - I always buy mine online.

Yeah I would suggest online. My dealer now charges almost 30 bucks for a freaking oil filter. It's highway robbery I tell ya! If you need some help finding an online place for filters let me know.

Man you guys have got it bad, from the dealer here it's 12$ and from specialist parts supplier it's about 8$ that's for a VW/AUDI/SEAT branded filter.

Tell me about it, most of the dealers can get away with charging us these prices because there is no competition. I've given up going to the dealer. I buy everything online for reasonable prices.
