RE: tie rods
I highly recomend the beefy meyle TRE's. They are an improved design over stock. Check it out: http://www.purems.com/products/product.php/II=1739

I got those^ when my TRE's were shot.
Not a difficult DIY if the bolt that connects the TRE to the inner TR isnt siezed. Neither heat nor PB blaster worked for me.. I ended up taking it in to a shop where they use something hotter than propane.. Forget what its called.

RE: tie rods
Tie rods are an easy DIY.Mine took about 1.5 hrs total. I used the heavy duty tie rods, and yes...from ebay. The are solid and well built, I trust them 100%. You will get dirty. I put the new ones on at the exact same thread positionas the old ones, and did not need an alignment. Imeasured the thread length of the old and set the new ones. I used a flexable tape measure, (like a taylor would use) andthe measurements came out perfect. I probably would have been difficult with a standard tape measure. Just a tip.
