tie rods
The main problem is the seal for the balljoint. Water gets in there and dilutes the grease over time and eventually the ball joint rusts and deteriorates which creates slack in the steering causing wandering steering and a clunky sound/vibration in the steering wheel. The meyle version has a better seal/clamps around the ball joint sealto prevent that from happening at least as soon as the oem part. Plus they can handle more weight and are mechanically fail proof in their design compared to oem.

I highly recomend the beefy meyle TRE's. They are an improved design over stock. Check it out: http://www.purems.com/products/product.php/II=1739
$66 for 2!
I got those^ when my TRE's were shot.
Not a difficult DIY if the bolt that connects the TRE to the inner TR isnt siezed. Neither heat nor PB blaster worked for me.. I ended up taking it in to a shop where they use something hotter than propane.. Forget what its called.

I am getting a clunk when brakeing... Kinda' strange though, I put it in drive, hit the gas, brake and it clunks... If I hit the gas again and hit the brakes nothing happens... But if I put it in reverse and hit the brakes, it clunks... Seems like something is rocking back and forth, think this is the problem?
