Default Time to change Tranny Oil Guys!

I did change tranny oil today.

It is so easy. If you have done engine oil change, then this is piece of cake for you, you need a special tool tho.

I just follow these DIY (Thanks to Sandman)
https://www.audiforums.com/m_156758/tm.htm

The oil I drained, WOW!!! smell so bad. It's like burned oil. I could not even kept in my garage because of smell.

If you have not done it yet, it is time for you tranny life. I did not feel much difference between shifting but I only drove like 10mins to test it.

I'll drive more tomorrow too see if it make difference, but sure it make difference for tranny life.

I DO recommend you guys to do tranny oil change as soon as you can!

Just a word of warning regarding DIY changes.

Always open the fill hole first!!!. If you drain your fluid and then find you can't get the fill hole open, you are going to have to get your car towed.

What kind did you use to refill?

Just to clarify to those who may have missed it, you are manual and are talking about replacing the gear oil, not the transmission fluid as you might in an automatic.
