Default time to trade up?

ok, so i've had my '01 a4 1.8t quattro ultra sport for a little over two years now. i love the car, but i have a feeling i may want to move up to an '04 or '05 pretty soon. my car just hit 100k miles and is in great shape, i have all the maintenance records for the last two years. it also has new brakes and tires. anyways, i know what kbb and edmunds say it is worth, but what do you think i could actually sell it for? there are no major issues with it at this time.

the car i'm looking at is an '05 1.8t ultra sport at the local stealership. i love the car! i know i probably shouldn't being trying to buy it right now since i just bought a condo w/ the gf, but every time i see it i can't help but think about buying it.

the car is high in miles for an '05, almost 70k, so i think that may be a bargaining chip if the time comes. i don't know if the tbelt has been done yet or not. anyways, they are looking to get 19k for the car. what do you think would be a reasonable offer?

it's a manual, my car as well as the one i'm looking to maybe purchase.

yeah, i would love to grab an s4, but i don't think the funds really allow it right now. for an '05 i'd probably be looking at about 28-30k instead of around 16-18, which is where i'd like to stay around if possible.

There is no "ultra sport" for B5's. Just Sport. If you decide on a selling price, I might be interested if I can sell mine.

Thats not really a upgrade your just getting a slightly differnt body style. I would go for a B7 A4 and just ignore the S4 talk.

Yeah probably but what he wants to do is really no upgrade.
