Timing Belt
the blow off valve is fairly simple to remove any random dude could do it in like twenty minutes......$250 is cheap man call the dealler and see what they want for all the parts in that kit</P>
So far www.ECStuning.com is cheaper than any place Ive found and also the most complete inventory of the cheap sites</P>

Timing belt/tensioner change is not something you wait until it looks like its getting bad. It's a preventative maintenance ordeal that you simply have to deal with.
im sure you'll be fine for a week. But I don't think you mom would like a $3500 bill for an engine rebuild after the tensioner or belt goes, so don;t wait too long.<img border="0" src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0"> <edited><editID>brrman</editID><editDate>38096.0325462963</editDate></edited>
chances are itll hold out for a little while just try not to put it off forever because itll eventualy go and if your constantly woried bout your timing belt you not goin to enjoy the car like a new audi owner should
<IMG src=smileys/smiley17.gif border="0">yea, i understand. good news, my cars at the audi dealer right now cause he has to fix my AC cause it wasn't blowing that cold. but my mom said as soon as we get it back I can order the Timing Belt Kit and the TT "DV" so my blow-off valve won't kill my engine. </P>
She was pretty cool about it, she usually makes me save 2/3 of my money, and all i get to spend is the other 1/3rd. But she said she'd split the DV/Timing Belt Kit with me, which is good.</P>
I'm gonna have our shop teacher at our school change the timing belt, he's good with cars and the timing belt job doesn't seem too hard.</P>
</P>
<IMG src=smileys/smiley16.gif border="0">Are there any other "MUST FIX" parts I need to get, or should I be set with the stuff i listed?</P><edited><editID>apexiA4</editID><editDate>38096.7401041667</editDate></edited>
the ECS TB kit is basically what you need. You should be changing the belt, tensioner and water pump impeller & housing. While you are in there you should change all your other belts (about $30-$40 worth) and possibly the coolant thermostat (which is housed in the water pump) but I guess you could wait for that until you start hearing squeaks or the thermo dies, etc. I only suggest it cuz it save you on labor cost.
