When do you usually need to change the timing belt on the b5s? about 60k? also should i go with a oem audi belt or are there any aftermarket belts with the same quality.

ye, dipends on the car you have but it varies, from 60 to like 80
just read around, it was done many times.

if its this car 98 A4 1.8qt then its timing belt is recommended change is 120,000 kilometers - 74,564 miles
