the dealer has this info but reluctant to pass it on (£££$$$) newer cars do have a longer service interval as listed by Autodata " a very professional outfit " and if they say it then its true they charge enough for their data so they have to be right and that's by law

If you are at all mechanically inclined, you could do it yourself for under $300, but 5-600 is a pretty good price considering its a 6 hour job approx.

Hopefully mine shud come less..But he is telling me different prices for timing belt(130) and water pump (25) !!! But everything does add to 5-600
So.. Do I trust the APR that they ll put a good quality timing belt?
Is there anything such as good/bad quality timing belt-tensioner etc. which I shud buy and give to APR rather than they putting some bad stuff?

Flow, in wiston-salem is pretty good. Their high of course because it's a dealership but they are good. I had to take mine to them a couple times when i lived in Boone. Now i do everything my self if i can so I dont break the pockets.

PS. its not that hard of a job( pretty strait foward). I did mine about 3,000 miles ago with pretty basic hand tools.

My shop used a Conti-Tech timing belt. If your shop lets you supply the parts go to

www.ecstuning.com

I just bought my kit from www.purems.com it was one of the cheapest i found. It comes with an all metal water pump, belts, tensioner, dampener.... for about $260 and with this tutorial refered from another member http://www.audiworld.com/tech/eng35.shtml I think it should be about a days work.

Audi put out "Tech Service Bulletins" because the belts were breaking well befor the 105,000 mile mark.
