Hey everyone,

My transmission has been giving me problems ever since I bought the car. I'm planning on doing a Level 10 upgrade in the Spring. One of the issues I've been having is that the car doesn't shift into 5th gear in sport mode. It never has since I bought it. Since this is my first Tip tranny, I'm not sure if there is in fact a 5th gear in sport mode. Is there?

From my understanding yes there is a 5th gear but what I've notice with mine is that you cant shift under a certain RPM I think its under 2300 or 2000 or lower.

 

in sport mode my car shifts into 5th at 3200 rpm

 

In sport mode, my car shifts whenever I want it to. And by sport mode, I mean Manual transmission.

 

Sport Mode does not prohibit 5th gear. It allows a higher RPM for each gear before shifting, to increase performance. You should be able to get in 5th gear in Sport Mode.

 

My car gets into 5th gear when I'm in sport mode, it's usually when I'm on the freeway.

No that S stands for "supercharger" it turns on your supercharger.
