Quick question..Looking to get 18's for my car. The rims are 18x8 and +35 mm offset. What tires would you guys recomend me putting on there?

Thanks!

I think a 245-35x18 is the same size overall diameter as the stock tire

18x8 you should do 225-235 deff. not 245 way to wide. i think mine are 225/40/zr18. i have 18X8.5 and 225 are jsut a wee to small.

i have had 225's on 7" wide wheels before, your telling me that i cant fit 20mm more of tire on 1" wider of wheel? [sm=WTFsgign.gif]

25mm = 1"

hmmmm.... IDK... i got 18X8.5 and my 225 are stretchin to reach. huh... thats intersesting

so yeah, if you have had 225 on 7" rims then they woulda been a little to big and if there to small for 8.5" i would say that they would fit a 8". but 245 would be to big, i belive

your never right so why listen to you?

And yes, you can fit many size tires on wheels. You can go streched like you unknowingly are doing, regular fit, (like stock cars) or fit wide *** tires like he wants too.

YES, THE TIRES WILL FIT THE RIM, WILL THEY FIT THE SPACE PROVIDED FOR THEM IS THE ?.

I've seen 245s on 7.5" wheels in the past (Nissan, not Audi) - it's not ideal, but it will fit and hold a bead.

So what, for 18x8 rims you think I should go with 235/35/18 or 225/40/18 ?? Would anything in or around the 225-235 and the 35-40 range be ok? Thanks

yes that should be fine, i would suggest the 235 40 18 i believe that is the stock wheel diameter and will not affect the way you drive at all. and you wont have to worry much about clearance issues.

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

That calculator is nice because it lets you change the size until you get the same Revs/Mile, which is what you need to match in order to not screw up your speedometer.
