Default Tire Noise

Ok, I've got a question for you about tire noise. I have some new Falken 512's and love the handling, but I have noticed that when I am making turns at slow speeds (parking lot for example) I hear a "woomp, woomp, woomp, woomp noise" what the hell is that? It's always made that noise, but I figured it might go away with new tires. Do you guys even think it is my tires or could it be something else?

Thank you!

my tires are loud at 70+ MPH.

Hows your tire pressure. It has a lot to do with performance of it also.

They aren't loud at all when I am driving in a straight line - I can only hear them when I turn the wheel at very slow speeds. Barely moving, like when I pull out of a parking place and cut the wheel, I hear a loud "woomp, woomp, woomp" noise. It's definitly coming from the front end of the car in the front wheels.

Geeez, I sure hope not! I do have an extended warranty with MBA. I guess I should get it checked out soon.

Thank you!

Have you considered a partly warped rotor? Turning may cause the pad the rub the warped spots.

I have the same issue, tire pressure helped, but I think that I need new rotors!

I got new rotors a couple months ago, so I doubt that's it. I think it's time to bring it in for a checkup.

Did you check to see if it was rubbing against the inside of the wheel well?
