i think its mainly the tread design that makes the noise.. i dont know.. i am probably wrong.

I know that's one of the factors. You can get a tire that is more for the street or a more aggressive tread for offroad on an SUV and it will make a lot of noise difference. Since I don't care about getting offroad tread for an Audi, I was wondering about the size/low profile part more.

Get the ones i have!! they are AMAZING!!!!!!!!! no noise, superb cornering and traction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they are ultra performance AS.

Anyone tried Conti ExtremeContact in R16' size ? How do they compare to ContiTouring CH95 in snow and/or highway ride ?

The dealer i got my a4 from put new tires on it to make the sale... They are Fuzion's for Summer. They are noisy at low speeds. Not my preference, but they were basicaly free. They look cool though with agressive tread lines. Im not gunna get snow tires, unless these end up sucking big time. I know they are cheap as hell though.

Thanks man but no dice, they dont come in 235/40 18. i guess ill end up going with the pirelli.
