Tire Wear

Tire Wear
Found out the other day that I have extreme wear on the inside of my front two tires that are only 1.5 years old. I have a Quattro. The guy at Discount Tire tells me it's typical of 4 wheel drive Audis due to the differential arrangement forcing tire rotation during a turn. I don't think so. These cars have All Wheel Drive, meaning that power is transfered to those tires needing it most (i.e. with traction). I think the wear is due to alignment issues as there is no wear on my rear tires. Any thoughts appreciated.
Thanks.

i get my tires rotated every year. they are switched for the seasons each year then after a year the front tires go on back and back tires go on front. (dont flame me, it was my dad who does it all the time). 2000 1.8T Q B5
