Today as I was driving there was a civic flying by me as he reved his motor, we pulled up at the light so I went for it, hit 2nd gear then 3rd and all of a sudden my car jerked and just slowed down, I had to slow down anyway cuz the next light was yellow anyway when I tried to go again my car wouldnt gas up, my pedal was all the way down so i went to first gear and pulled over really slow, no gas remember, anyway I popped the hood cuz I thought the cable for the throttle body snapped, it didnt but it came of the throttle body, I put it back and it has some play (loose) is there anyway to adjust or do they stretch over time?

 

anybody know????

 

I have seen them stretch over time on other vehicles but I haven’t had my car long enough to notice any stretching
