I have a 2002 audi a4 Quattro. I hired a shop to replace the transmission. That was completed and now I am told they cannot get the car inspected because the check engine light is on. They replaced the torque converter and the check engine light won't go off. So he told me to purchase Cataclean and drive the car around to see if the light will go off. He said legally he cannot purchase it. I am concerned if I take the car off premises he is off the hook on doing the inspection so I can re register the car. What should I do?

 

Did they tell you what the code is that is coming up? Really need to know what the code is before saying they caused it. Cusious as to why they are recommending a fuel addative to resolve the issue. .
