Default Towing my Quattro A4

My Quattro A4 got towed today... looks like not paying your parking tickets screws you in the long run...

The first problem I realized when picking up my car was that a) I received 6 new dents/scratches on my rear bumper thanks to the towing company, who promptly informed me that they didn't do it....... oooookkkk... guess we'll have to check the police report tomorrow. URGH!!!

Now here's where the other problem is. My car is a quattro. I always park it with the E-brake on. I'm not sure at this point if they towed me with a flat bed or with a regular truck. Would they have screwed my car up at all if they had towed it with a regular truck? According to the towing guy, the lifted the back end up...

I'm probably going to end up having to do a TON of paperwork and crap to get my car back to the condition "pre-tow" and figure I might as well come out with all my guns firing here. Does anyone know if Audi has any printed/posted online information on the correct way to tow their cars and why?

thanks a ton guys.

Tim

All wheel drive cars have to be flat bedded. Basic knowledge.

Since when does a tow company have basic knowledge? Most of those tow companies that tow or the city are hook and lift. Flat beds would cause them too much problems. And if it was a flat bed they still need to drag the car on the bed and then drag it off the bed again. I think that would cause som kind of damage. [:@]

Long story short, pay your tickets. Cost less in the long run.

well there are alternatives to flatbeds... they use these little things that just hold up the rear wheels... so a regular tow truck is uses, but you've got a set of "wheelies" or something that hold the *** end up. My talon got towed like 15 times... haha

I know when I had to have a friend's car towed(cv joint at the track went out), the insurance sent out a flatbed. I don't think that is enough distance to do any harm. But anyways, good luck with getting everything with your car setted. Let us know how it turns out.
