How hard would it be to change the gear ratios in our transmissions( manuel)? Are manual tranny gears universal? I want to change my gear ratios that of a 97 M3, there torque curve is amazing.

 

what engine do you have?

you're not going to be able to change the gearing like you can in the M3s. you'll basically be able to change the transmission. which will give you either shorter or longer gears(depending on your engine/trans) and a different final drive ratio

 

I have the 1.8t. I am basicly looking to et my fifth gear as close to 1:1 as possible. Can you change the final driv gear on a quattro?
