Default Tranny problem

My 99 1.8t is acting funny, For one thing I know there is a problem with the reange sensor, but now it is leaking something. Its been leaking slowly for a month or so, but I haven't had the time or funds to check it out. The leak started basically after I flew over this large asphault bump in the middle of the road (bad sound). Today it leaked a lot of whatever it was. I am thinking it is transmission oil. Well the car backed up in reverse but not smoothly, I had to press the accellerator harder than usual. But then it would not move forward! Everytime I reved it too much trying to get it to move all the gear lights lit up and I had to turn the car off. Well after about 30 minutes I tried it again and got it to move forward with a little umph. Now before this happened the car will go into neutral while waiting idle for a light intermittantly, most of the time it did it when I was waiting uphill. Recently it also stuttered a lot and jerked between 2nd and 3rd. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm towing it to the shop tommorrow, well today.

I would take the car to a tranny shop and get it looked at. You might have lost enough fluid so that the gears aren't meshing together. I don't think the tranny is blown, but there's a possibilty that without some of that fluid in there it's not allowing the internals to move around correctly.
