Hey guys I was just wondering if theres any way at all to convert my 1998 A4 1.8T Quattro to manual from a 5 speed tiptronic (or whatever it is)

no, but the costs would be tremendous...whole new trans, new ecu all the interior pieces, labor etc etc etc...not to mention 5 speed is so much better, unless you got a donor car it would cost you a few grand easy...then you have to find someone to do it...or figure out how to do it yourself

 

right right right....dang i really wanted a manual too...cuz this is my first car and yeah...
so i might as well just keep my auto and just upgrade everything else?

 

I would defanitly wait and look for deals. what year is your car? i think itd be defanitly worth it to sell it and get a manual.

 

well its a 1998, and i got it for about 7700....so i dont think theres any other A4s out there for that cheap, and plus i didnt buy the car my dad did since its my first car

 

ah i thought you wanted to make your car auto... tiptronic is the automatic transmission, i got thrown off but the same still goes haha
