Default trippy signal light

hey something weird is going on with my front right signal light, sometimes is works but dimly, and sometimes not at all. The info screen on the dash has an alert on it, but should i replace the bulb or do yall think the wiring is loose or what? The car's an 02 A4 1.8T with the auto leveling xenons, and im afraid to start messing around with too much around the lights cause everything is packed in so tight and i dont want to cause an additional potentially expensive problem. It looks like the whole assembly has to come out to replace the bulb. Does anyone know how to do this? I tried but couldnt find all the screws.

There is 4 screws.

Check out this tech article on AW, it has pictures of where they are. Figured its easier to find pics than to try and explain it

Sorry to dig up an old post, but...

My right front turn signal on my '99 A6 has now completley stopped working, causing the side and rear to flash quickly. Just as described in this post it started by blinking dimmly (I would notice when using remote entry). One day it stopped all togather and I replaced the bulb. I noticed the socket had one of the three contacts a little burnt and I had to wiggle the socket just right to make it work, but it worked though still felt it was dimmer than the left side.

Now about a month later and is completly out again (turn signal is, parking light still works in bulb). I removed the socket and found the burnt contact I noticed before was now severly damaged. The contacts have like a little nipple on them and on the burnt one, the nipple was gone and there was a hold burned through the contact whre it should be.

I figured I should try another socket, just like suggested in this post. But, is there probably a more serious problem or is this something that just happens?
