Default Tune Up

I am going to do a tune up soon and was wondering:

What spark plugs do you reccomend?

I think I am going to buy everything from ECSTuning because I want everthing from 1 place.

I need a new coolant sensor as well.

I am thinking of replacing my oil with AMSOIL and a new BOSCH high flow filter.

What all should I get for a COMPLETE tune up.

Spark Plugs? Fluids? Oils Filter ? Air Filter? Fuel Filter?

What do you think?
Any reccomendations or cautions while doing the tune up?

I am familair with tune ups and engines, just not on german vehicles... I have a bentley manual also so that should help me out?

When I did my plugs I put the stock back in Bosch Titanium's I believe. As for the Oil I use Mobil1 and the stock Audi filter. I f you have around 70,000 miles do the timing belt on the car also. I wouls also get a new air filter and fuel filter for good measure. The fuel filter I bought was the stock and am to lazy to put it in on the ground. i havent had time to put it on a lift to do .

Let me give you a heads up about switching to synthetic. I switched to Amsoil when I bought my car about 6 months ago and all was well until around 3 weeks ago. First came the ticking then the oil light. My mechanic thought it was just a sensor so we replaced that and changed the oil again. Nothing changed. So then we figured out that my oil pressure was extremely low and needed a new oil pump (which is supposed to be extremely rare on audis). Anyway, I'm sitting here today waiting for my oil pump to be changed so I can pay $500.

There's no way I can prove this, but I'm guessing since I switched to synthetic at around 80k miles that it cleaned out all kinds of filth in the engine and in turn ruined the oil pump. So my advice is that if you want to switch to synthetic you should change your regular oil at like 1500 miles for a few times before switching to synthetic. Maybe that'll help clean it out a little beforehand.

When you changed your oil did you use a OE filter? Or the new OE High Flow Filter?

I am thinking if you didnt , that caused an oil sludge issue (which audis ARE known for) and that was that.

I used the OE filter. Literally just got my car back and no sludge (although if there had been there's a chance I could've potentially got all that done for free). I'm actually really stoked too b/c the car sounds sssoooo much better...no more ticking or oil light beeping at me. On a side note, my front sway bar should be here any day which I'm also really stoked about.
