I have tuned my own b5 s4 and anyone can do it.

Between these two websites the average Joe can find the resource to tune their own me7 ecus.
I haven't spent a dollar yet and I'm nearing the final revision of my very own ko3 tune.
There are several custom tunes to reference and use, including stage 3 that you can download for free.
the only hardware needed is an ob2 port cable that hooks up to your computer, I use my vag-com.

I hope somebody finds this useful.

 

it does not work for the a box does it?

 

there is a partial a box xdf. over there.
i just use the mbox xdf. and put in the maf tables from the abox. for use with a bosch maf.

 

what tool do you use to program and pull the codes? are they on that website?

 

i use tunerpro and winols (these are used to change the maps)
i use the nefmoto flasher which is on that website. ( this is used to read and write files to and from the ecu)

just google for the others.

 

Saw this thread awhile ago and ran with it. Got on NefMoto, and learned what I needed, bought a bench setup and set it up only to find out my ECU is a DBC and cannot be run with NefMoto software.

I know this is an old thread but is there any other option for me that anybody know of?

I'm just starting to look into tuning my B5 S4....did you have any luck with reply backs to your question? Sorry for the ignorance, what is DBC, a custom tune?
