tuneup needed?
I've got a 2001 A4, 1.8T Quattro that just hit 43k miles. I bought it back in April. In the last couple weeks or so it feels like it's started being a little sluggish, acceleration seems to be lagging a bit in the middle/higher gears. The car is in good shape, I got it cert. pre-owned and over all I think it runs well. I'm just wondering if a bit of a tune-up is in order, maybe doing the plugs and so forth? How difficult is this and is it worth having a mechanic do it? Any other things to consider now that I'm up over 40k?
Thanks.
Thanks.
plugs are easy enough just take off the plastic engine cover and there are 4 coil pack over each cylinder that you need to remove to get at the plugs could be a small vacuum leak also not allowing it to boost completly do you have a boost gauge ?
At 40K mi you should also change the air filter. You can get these plugs and filter from
