Tuning is coming along nicely
why would u need ur bottom end built there are plenty of people runing 20+ psi on that turbo me im runin 22-24 i have a 57 trim 60a/r and a .48 exhaust with a gt2 series dual angle clip job. the 57 trim with flow 400 hp @ 26 psi. i really doubt u can get to 110 in 8 sec i know my car sure cant
there is a big difference between the .63 and .48 a/r. Does yours surge like crazy? That turbo would be riding the surge line. I'm aiming for over 400 WHEEL hp, and I know this turbo will do it. I blew one motor and I cant afford to blow a 2nd so I'm taking it easy, until its bulletproof
i had 3-4 diff t3/t4 on my car. my car doesnt surge at all. it was doin that bc i was tryin to run mafless since i had a map sensor my car hated it. others loved it just not mine. ur goin to need to push like 30-35 psi to get that power although u do have a little better mods than most. that .48 and .63 is the exhaust side not an a/r but it really only affects the spool points its not goin to flow that much more to call it a big diff. im goin back to a 60 high fi trim with a 70 a/r or i might get a 61 trim. now those are a big diff. i ran a 57 trim with both .63 and .48 nothin noticable but when i switched trims hudge hudge diff. it doesnt pull near as hard as that 60 trim. ya im lookin to make 500 hp on one. but first i need a clutch and bottom end. i think u should have went with a diff t3/t04 bc ur goin to be pushin it hard to get the numbers constantly. i also notice how much u lose when runin mafless compared to havin a maf. i mean if its a noticable feel thats a good amount of lost power. jeff mas or whatever his last name on here is runnin 30 psi on his t3/t4 for a decent amount of time and hasnt threw a rod yet but he says hes waiting for it to happen so he has a reason haha
the .48 and .63 ar the a/r's of the exhaust side, what else would the be? The 57trim will flow 49lb/min the 60 trim will flow 50lb/min and according to the guru's on vwvortex, then addition lag is not worth the 1lb/min.
I'll try and find the number difference b/w the .48 and .63 a/r's I looked into it a lot when I was choosing this turbo. Soo much of it has to do with tuning as well, if you don't bump up timing in the right places, you gonna be waiting a while for boost!
I know people making 340whp on chip tuning at 23psi, so I figure on race at ~30psi I should easily exede 400awhp
