I am currently trying to separate the turbo from the manifold. There are three bolts there that go down from the top into the turbo. They appear to be a 6 point backwards torx looking head. Do I need a special tool to get them off?

if its a torx looking head... im going to have to go out on a limb and say a torx should do the trick... maybe a pic would help too

 

i found the right socket from a buddy of mine. Its called an E-Torx...i still managed to round one of them off though so now i have to deal with that problem.

just out of curiosity though, why are you taking out your turbo??

 

Replace the Flux Capasitor? Or is it the Kuniter Valve? I had to do mine last week, hahaha...

 

i'm not, i'm actually removing the head to replace bent valves (timing belt) and its easier to remove the head with the manifold attached and remove it later...i actually got those bolts off now and i'm sending the head out to an engine shop to be reworked.
