2 second delay does not sound normal. The turbo lag on a stock a4 is noticable, but hardly 2 seconds. 1/2 a second maybe.

ORIGINAL: audihere

i know what ur doin. ur trying to launch it at a higher rpm arent u. bc when u do this its not like a honda or anyother reg 5spd. it seems to fall right on its face then all of a sudden its taken off. u have to ease into a launch unless u have an aftermarket clutch. u will screw ur stock one up if u r trying to do this. i learned this when i first got mine. 1 thing i hate about audis

i can launch just fine. it falling on its face for you cuz your dumping the clutch instead of letting it slip. the once the stock clutch heats from the slip it grabs hard

If you already have the timing belt kit, how much does it usually cost to get it intalled? Do they have to pull the engine for a timing belt kit install?

A typical independant labor cost for a timing belt change is $400-700. Here is a pic when I did mine, so you get an idea of how much has to be removed:

No, I didn't do anything else to my car while I was in there. Just changed the snub mount.
