i have a 99.5 with tiptron and it is slippin really bad sometimes it is ok then when u come to a stop then go it just revs then catches at like 4 grand. i dont know much bout the audi trans, can they be rebuilt, any suggestions on what to do

i had that trouble with a jeep of mine . it turned out to be bad seals within the tranny. cost me 2000 to have a junkyard one installed. i imagine its much more for an audi tranny

Mine does the same. It helped to change the tranny fluid and filter a bit. It mostly does it when it is very cold. If you really think you have a problem, I would dump the car as auto tranny work is EXPENSIVE!

can my local shop do a tranny flush or do i have to go to audi........... jest it dose do it alot worse when it is cold plus i only had the car for a few months i got it from fl and i live in chicago so the car has never seen cold weather like this

I had mine changed at a local shop. Try to find one that specializes in VW or Audi.

make sure they specialize in vw/seat/skoda/audi. and dont cheap out get redline tranny fluid. i forgot thst old tranny fluid does cause this problem

i only take my audi to dubwerks(local shop) they know whats up when it comes to audi/vw
