I hope you could! I actually think my whole front end may be out of alignment. It happens around 60 mph or very smooth roads and 70+ on all other roads. I've taken it to Audi twice. The first time they told me my wheels were OB. The second time they told me my two front tires had excessive road force and then replaced and balanced them. No better. ( I should mention I noticed this when I got the car, but thought it was normal until I had a loaner A3 that drove much better than my A4) Yesterday I took to a European Garage (the mechanic was an older german fellow who only works on European cars) he seemed to know what he was looking at. We put the car on the rack and drove at highway speed...once i got above 60 on the speedometer it felt like the car was going to come off the rack. He said he could see my tires wobbling back and forth! He took them off and balanced them and we tried it again. No better!

I've been talking to some people who know a lot more than I do about cars, and how they are built and the seem to think that the symptoms are pointing to a mis-aligned front end - not to be confused with the wheels being out of alignment. Which they are not, the car drives straight as an arrow down the road. Just vibrates the whole time.

It should also be noted that the rims have been looked and are not bent. The car is brand new, 5500 miles on it! It's a pain in the ***.

BTW: I test drove the new C-class today....Beautiful car, but wasn't all that impressed with the motor. The 2.0T has more power at highway speed than the C300. It should be noted though, that I drove an auto, and that's like comparing apples to oranges....

Any opinions on what it may be?

Guaranteed its a seperated tire bead, have them swap out a set of tires off another B7 on the lot and drive the car around. 98% chance you won't feel the vibration.
Thats what we do at our dealer, stupid *** techs. [:@]

The vibration is coming from the front. It was there with the old tires and its no better with brand new tires audi put on at no charge. (Exact same as the back tires) The back tires are 100% fine....

Wouldn't the new tires have taken car of it then?

Im telling you tell them to swap a completely different set of wheels, the only thing that will make the wheels flop on a rack is the wheel itself.
I made a $900 prop shaft mistake a few years back that i had to pay for. It turned out to be one of the wheels, whether its the tires or rim, that has to be it.

I will mention that to the service guy when I go in...one more question though....Why would the two sets of tires behave the same way on the car?

Either the rims are bent, or in rare cases the front hub/s may be bent. I've only seen a couple of bent hubs but they are easy to to find if the tech would have done a run out test, he probably didn't.

i heard a rumer about us not being able to get tint tickets anymore.
about some lawyer sueing the police station because all police cars have tinted windows. the lawyer got a tint window and got pissed off so got his camera and took pictures of all the cop cars with tinted windows and fought the case and said " shoulnd't police officers be inforcing the law instead of promoting it " which is a good fight, and i heard he won, but i think its all lies. i don't know, it was a rumor so i don't know. the only reason we get tint tickets is because of drug users. because it shields drug stash. lol
had a friend in HS that dated a girl 20 mi on the country. most days he followed a state trooper in the cop car that went the same way. they did 80mph in a 55. i questioned this, his said the response is ,"just following the example set by the officer. w/out lights on, he needs to obey the laws as well and knows them better than i do." always learn the cops tag when i do this, just in case i need to try it.
