turn signal
i have a 1997 1.8t. when i start my car for about the first 15 minutes i get this loud vibrating sound coming from the radio/ac cluster. i can feel it on the hazard switch, but i am not having any problems with my signals. it even radiates through the radio and causes static. could this be a faulty hazard switch? i read some of the other posts and it seems as if this a common problem.
also i had my ignition switch replaced and now my signal doesnt retract after i turn the wheel, i took off the steering wheel and couldnt seem to figure out why. dont know if maybe there should be some kind of o-ring around the shaft that retracts the signal, or if that whole signal cluster needs to be replaced. Any suggestions?

RE: turn signal
The hazard switch usually is a common replacment item, but when you get buzzing its commonly caused by the turn signal switch shorting out the hazard switch. So you're gonna need a need turn signal switch along with a hazard relay.

RE: turn signal
The turn signal switch is the lever you use when turning on your blinkers. You have to remove the air bag, remove the steering wheel and spiral clock spring, then un-flange the turn signal switch from the steering shaft and slide it out.
