Default Turn Signals Blink Off!

i have a 2000 avant quattro, and yesterday i noticed that my turn signals blink off. what i mean is, i'll turn the signal on when, say, changing lanes (happens to left and right), and it'll blink like 3 times, then just stop blinking on the dash. i dunno if it stops blinking on the outside of the car, 'cause twice i've had my car in front of a window to see the reflection, and of course they were working perfectly! anyone hear of this issue? relay prob? switch prob? i guess i haven't noticed 'cause i don't use my signals all the time, but if i have to pass an inspection or something, it'd be nice to have them work properly. thanks.

Replace your hazardflasher switch. Its part of/behind your red triange flasher button.

cool, i'll check that out. Now that I know the hazard and signal relay are the same, kinda makes sense. The dealer took apart my dash to get the stereo out (broken clips) and they prob knocked the switch around a bit causing it to blink out. At least i didn't have to pay the dealer for breaking my relay! they couldn't get the stereo out. had to take it to a specialist. Thanks!
