Two Cd Changers???
Ok, I have a 1999.5 A4 that I just bought a few weeks ago. The guy put in a sony 10 disc cd changer (only the 6 work because the deck was made for 6) because he obviously thought he didnt have one? I checked the side compartment in the truck and I find a (factory I think) 6 CD Changer and the amp and stuff next to the jack. I'm assuming it didnt "break" (I know the guy who sold it, he probably just didnt check it?) Anyway, It looks as if it is not plugged in anymore since it doesnt open when I press the eject button but yeah... See it if works and trash the new one? (I dont like the sony, it hates my burned cd's- advantage is it's mp3) was the guy just an idiot probably (well kind of, it is hidden) or did all a4's without the 6 cd changer package (if that is what he got)come with a freebie?
I'm assuming that he didnt see it and so he bought one and the installer was an *** and just disconnected it and connected in the sony?

The factory cd changer is probably broken, but I dont understand why he wouldnt take it out if that was the case. I dont think you can have multiple cd changers working off of the same head unit/remote though.
Yeah, We'll im going to try to see if it is broken or not. Like you said, he probably would have had it taken out (thecd changers are about the same size it may even fit in the same location) Thats why I didnt think it was broken... And yeah, cant do multiple cd changers- would be cool
thanks
