that would make sense that the oil line got clogged somehow, and that caused the turbo not to get any "blood"

Im guessing that I could send it off to a rebuilder and have them rebuild it and throw a bigger compressor wheel on it

my bet is on a clogged oil line, or something like that

If the turbo oil feed line got plugged up and the bearing in the turbo siezed, it would have stalled out from lack of air into the engine. But it is possible so flushing the lines wouldn't hurt.

if you're running at 0 psi, that means the turbo is still working somewhat, because otherwise you'd be in vacuum. is it possible there's something in the compressor wheel area that shouldn't be there? a rag maybe? have you had the TIP off lately?

Well think of it this way, if the turbo all the sudden stopped, the engine management would see a huge amout of air change and stall out the engine before the engine managment could compensate.
But it would be able to re-start after a whilebecause youCAN pull enough air through the turbo to run the engine even when its frozen up. But if it is frozen you wouldn't hear a whine noise.
Im thinking the turbo could be getting starved for oil and the bearing is screaming, but that would still produce some boostor the wategate is stuck.

I had the TIP off yesterday (well part of it) and i am 120% positive that nothing was left in there.. I always account for rags and tools before i start it

Well the turbo is def shot!

Made it to work.. turned the EBC down to 0 to turn the boost off.. (doubt that would actually do anything) and its apparent that the bearings and seals in the turbo are toasted.. tons of smoke (burnt oil) coming from the exhaust.

here is a question.. can i bolt ona stock K03 or a K04 to the ATP mani with the test pipe while im waiting on the turbo to get rebuilt? Im guessing it might be easier to pick one of those up than to try and find another GTRS

Thoughts? Opinions??

The k03 will bolt up to the ATP mani. Youll want to check for oil blockage before putting any turbo on of course. Regardless, with your tuning, the k03 will be shot by the time you get your rebuilt turbo back anyways [&:] Maybe not...
