Seems to me, as an old fart, that most of this forum has turned to rice.

I'm much more interested in keeping my car in top running condition, repairing what breaks with the lowest impact on my wallet, and tweaking the car to get better performance and handling while maintaining every-day drivability and reliability. Seems to me that this has become a minority of the discussion here and on Audiworld

I am not interested in making my car look like an S4 when it is not. I'm not interested in 19 inch wheels; they probably cause the car to lose torque and run slower. I'm not interested in lowering the suspension and putting on oversized wheels. It just ruins the wheel bearings. I'm not interested in exhausts that sound cool, but I am interested in ported manifolds that may increase the power. I'm not interested in 30 dollar beer-can mufflers that sound loud and have outlets big enough for New York rats to live in, but I am interested in exhaust systems that will improve the performance.

Not interested in billit aluminum DV (in either blue, green red or silver). Who cares, its buried at the bottom of my engine, under the plastic shield where no one except a mechanic will ever see it. Am interested in the 710N.

Not interested in an intake that gives me more noise. Not interested in a sound system that can be heard in the next car.

So different strokes....

I am going to agree and disagree. I believe this forum, like all forums is for information gathering. So in theory both apply, getting the most out of your car period. Does not matter to me if you "rice out" your car. I dont drive it. No one else here does either. Not sure why everyone is getting upset because someone asked a question. That is why we are here. To ask questions and share information. If we go through life not asking questions and learning new things, we die. Its your car, you drive it. Enjoy it. That might mean that others dont agree with your desisions. Thats fine, they can buy their own car, do their own mods. Lets get back to helping people with the questions they ask. You dont know the answer, dont respond. Posting just to say that something is rice, in your opinion, is a waste of your time and mine because I have tho read it to get to the real answers.
