Default uneven rotor wear weird

Ok. So I searched this for about a half and hour and couldn't find anything about it so I am asking for your help. I have never seen this before in any car and don't know exactly what to do. I recently replaced rear break pads and rotors due to normal wear with some regular oem parts. A few days later I checked the rotors and noticed that only half of the rotor was actually being used. I could tell this by having rust on half of the rotor and the other have being shiny or worn. it is like this on both axles in the rear. The sliders would not be the problem and since everything is new i just don't get it. The only thing that i could think of i there being a groove on the caliper where the pads rest preventing it from sliding evenly over to the rotor, but it is kind of strange that it is happening on both sides. Any thoughts?

Obviously the pad is not touching the entire surface of the rotor. Visually inspect it to make sure something wasn't installed wrong when you did the brakes last.

Well i know the pad is not making full contact and it was installed correctly. Is it possible that the spring on top is putting to much pressure on the pad not allowing it to slide on the pad mount?

I would think the pressure of the hydraulic system would overpower that of the spring, so that seems farfetched but feasible I guess.

Well i don't know what else it could be. it is if the pads are beveled but i think that they would wear down unless they are hooked on the bottom.

I changed my rear brakes last month.I saw the inner part of the rotor
being shiny, with rust on the outside. Happened on both sides.
It takes 1,000 mi. to bed in.
