Default Unorthodox Pulley Question

I was thinking about getting an unorthodox pulley for my 98 1.8T quattro and my question is will it be worth the power i gain? It costs about $200, and would it be worth the money? ALso about how much would it cost to get put in?

Thanks\
JOe

Im not sure on labor cost, but it is pretty much the same thing as replacing the timing belts. So if your almost due for a timing belt change around 60-70k then id do the underdrive pulleys then because it will save you money in labor. I want to recall that you have to use specific belts for the unorthodox pulleys, smaller than the OEM ones and i only remember seeing the pulleys for the v6 engines. I know ecs tuning makes the underdrive pulleys and includes all the necessary belts for like 190.

That depends on whose pulley you buy. But UNorthodox racing pullies are a good idea. See if you can purchase the 3 pulley set so you dont have to worry about over heating and losing charge on your battery. BUt yeah if your doing a timing belt change definatly change the snub mount and get pullies.

if you just change the pully ant the associated belts the labor will be more than the hardware
