Default Update on my Turbo

Just got word back from ATP Turbo, they are rebuilding it, and using a GT28RS CHRA.

When I asked why the turbo failed with only 13k miles on it, they said Oil contamination. That i need to change my oil more often. I have been changing my oil every 5k miles. They said i need to change the oil every 3k miles or sooner..

all well.. i guess ya live and learn

Poor design in the "kit" causes these. Its just another talley to add the to bored of eliminator failures

Is the GTRS turbo kit unreliable? I was thinking about upgrading to that when my K03 fails (probably pretty soon). They say it makes great power, but if it's hell to maintain, then what's the point. Is a K04 a better choice (for reliability and price)?

the elims are hit or miss from what i have seen. You can make far more power and have much better spool with a real gt28rs than a eliminator, not to mention, more reliable.

The ko4 really isnt a upgrade for a 01+ car. THe ko3"s" is pretty much the same dimensions and Borg Warner only claims 10-20 more hp and not worth it.
