ok yeah, im a noob, i was a worried noob tho so i was looking for any reasonable answer, since he was an audi tech i figured id go with anything he said, i didnt but thats my bad, so lets just drop it, deal?

yeah, i know i need to replace it, does autozone sell something like that or do i have to get it through audi or a german parts supplier

You can try e-bay, or ecstuning.com if they have them. Search around, you might have to get it at the dealer if you can't find one.

ok, the sensor in question is right above the area where my intake is, im not entirely sure what line it is connected to, do you happen to know off hand?

Un-plug the valve, and run the engine, if it sounds like its sucking air its a standard vaccum line check valve and they are all the same.
If it is directly on top of the air box and doesn't make any noise when you dis-connect it its probably the N80 valve for the evapemmisions system.

it doesnt look like it is connected to anything electrical really, im not 100% sure on that tho. i disconnected it, ran it, kinda heard a hiss but not sure if it was something else, i didnt feel any suction on the hose tho, does that mean anything? i took a picture of the whole area where it is, maybe you can tell me

its a one way check valve. You need to replace it asap. Im sure you can get them at the dealer, but im not sure about a parts store, you should be able to. But the dealer would be a safe place to go to make sure you get the correct part and then install it yourself

thanks cincy, yeah, i ordered a replacement from the audi dealer in chandler (the closest one) next day delievery, cost me $30. do you think that will be the thing that is causing these codes?

Our cars is our home, so try homedepot for clamps or any hardware store.

it should fit snuggly w/o needing a clamp. But anyways, you can just use a zip/cable tie to hold it down
