There are no codes because generic OBD scanners (eg Autozone) only scan for engine emission codes. They do not scan for codes related to brakes, transmission, HVAC.

Have it scanned with a VAGCOM.
Just got a call from the dealer, they said they cleaned all the sensors, the abs warning light never showed up with them and no codes also showed up. They also told me to observe it for a while.

With this, should I be relatively secure and happy feeling that I dodged a bullet with the abs warning or is it more than possible that it will show up again a few days after I get from the dealer.....

thanks

With my limited experience with audis, I think it will show up again.

You guys were right..... when it took it home from the dealer it was normal then the next morning beep beep again....[&o]
Just drive it home now and its normal again...

From what I have read it is most likely the abs module, if i were it the US I would send the module to modulemaster but since Im not. I think im gonna try http://passat-b5.ru/index.php?option...=296&Itemid=57 and a pretty good shop.
Has anyone tried it? and is there a way to make sure that is the problem(no codes), i myt just end up thinkering with it only to find out it was something else.

worst case i order a surplus from there or order a new one from ecs...

also i've been thinking about what might be the cause. A few months earlier I got rear ended by a van. Needed to replace the bumper and a few aluminum parts inside. While going thru the abs repair link, it seems that the failure comes from a faulty solder connection. do you guys think that maybe the impact of the bumped is what caused the solder in the module to give way? and also cause my oil pressure sensor to become faulty?

thanks for all the help....

Doubt that is the cause.

I have read somewhere that it could be a bad connection on one of the ABS sensors that causes this fault.

Regards
