ok a firend of mine jsut gota vag com and on a peace of paper we got of the internet said that with aftermarket headunits you cant use the vag on cars newer then 98. i have a alpine HU and my care is an 01 a4. is this true? what problems will i have if i use it. why wont it work. also if it makes a diffrence my car came with the sympfoney bose radio.

 

I have a 2000 A4 with a Kenwood head unit and my VAG works fine.
