Wow... That's quite a bit for a radar detector. Although I remember reading in one of their advertisements "If you get a ticket, we'll pay for it!"

Are they still doing this?

Anyway, the installation looks DAMN clean Karl Marx, I'm very impressed with it.
Yes, the offer the ticket payment thing for up to a year of your purchase. Or something like that... It only applies up to a certain speed too, obviously they won't pay it if you were doing 125 in a school zone... [:@]

OK, This did not work for me.
The 12V ignition that you refer to is not powered for me.
I tried a few other red power sources and they were either non-switched or didnt offer enough voltage to keep the V1 on without power cycling after 1-4 seconds (and causing the interior lights and the homelink to power off/on).

Thoughts???
I have it installed now, ground hooked up, just cant power my damn detector on

you could in theory build a license plate digitally. get a relatively large LCD that can be viewed from almost all angles, encase it in a "plate frame" and have a really high res pic of your original plate displayed constantly. With the tap of the keyboard, you could cycle through multiple hi-res pics of other plates :P

I am having the same problem as yours. I took the panel off and did not have the things you pointed. Can you please let me know how to make it work? Thanks.
