Default valve train???

It came with a 3 Month/3,000 Mile Powertrain Warranty. It now makes a tapping noise when the vehical is started, it then appears to fade away once it is warmed up. If the vehical is shut off, then started, even thought it is warmed up, it still makes the tapping noise but doesnt go away completly, the sound is then very light. I had called the dealer and explained it to him, and he said it sounds like a valve is out of alignment. does anyone know what this is? or is it covered in this warranty??

it's normal. all VAG(audi/VW/Seat/etc) engines due that.. just takes a minute for all the lifters to get primed with oil. then after that you can still notice a bit of tapping/noise. just how DOHC engines are

I'd have them check it out and at least have a record of the problem. Have them check the oil pressure.

Sounds like the lifters. Normal for Audis. Have them check it out though to be sure.
