Vent Issue? Can't fill up gas tank
After replacing so much on this car (ignition coils, fuel injectors, o2 sensors, timing belt, tensioner, serpentine belt, v-belt, transmission, transmission module) I was ready to drive it until I go to the gas station and it won't accept fuel. It literally shuts off almost immediately then when I try to do it manually spits it back out at me.
I'm pretty sure it's a venting issues but i'm not too familiar with it. Has anyone had this issue or have any suggestions on what it could be?
It's a 1997 Audi A4 1.8T with 73K on it.

it most likely is a venting issue. I have the same problem on my '00 A4 Quattro. What I do is I have the nozzle of the pump slightly in. Far enough that it open the little gate that leads into the funnel to the gas tank. Also keep in mind to not fully squeeze the trigger. So, you'll fill up slower but you won't have the pump kick out every 2 seconds. Hopes this works for you
