your going to fiberglass a Urethane bumper?!

ORIGINAL: M¥§T

Ahh...That makes since. I was asking because my car has the Votex kit on it and the front bumper has a crack in it from the previous owner. I guess I will get some quotes on it to get it fiberglassed.

fixing uethane with fiberglass really isnt fixing the problem. Two totally different ways of being made. you can fix urethane with urethane or body glue and bondo would be much better choice than fbrp.

Well, I wasn't being exact as too how to fix it, since I wasn't sure exactly what the bumper was made of.....basically I meant I would take it to a body shop to get a quote on what it would be to get it fixed.. I checked with Reeves here in Tampa today and a new chin skirt is $650 plus whatever it is to paint it. So that's a lil more than what I wanted to pay, but I will see what the body shops say and go from there.

Dont expect it to be under a G. Consider the repair time, product (ie body glass, filler, glue, paint, clear, tinner, etc) and painter.

Yea I know.....but I know some people at different body shops around town so I'm hoping one of them will be able to hook me up with a good deal. Cause if a bodyshop wants more than a grand, I will more than likely just buy the chin skirt from Audi, have it painted to match my car, and put it on myself. Since that would be about the same price, and I would have a new bumper instead of a repaired one (plus I would have a backup if I were to ever need one )
