Actually curb weight for an B5 S4 is 3593. An A6 2.7t is 3759. But since they did not make the S60 in 2000 we should probably compare it to the B6 which is 3825 @ 340 hp.

I have seen various weights for the car depending on the source. Dude im not sayin s60rs are better then s4s because I love s4s. But I think a stock s60r will be right with a 04 s4 with 40 extra hp, volvo says 5.4. With a chipped s60r you will have 349hp and will smoke alot of s4s. But remember, there just a joke and all.

I guess it would be better if I explained why I feel a Volvo is not in the Class of Audi. When I bought my Audi I was also strongly considering a C230 Kompressor Sedan and a 328 is sport.

Having been a part of the joiners shop for Palmer Johnson Yachts I learned a great deal about the importance of fit and finish. The Mercedes is great and will run forever but it was a year older and I did not like the performance. The BMW was the same year but more expensive. It had Xenons and a sport suspension...it was also red which is not a good color if you want to avoid tickets.
My point is neither of these had any sign of joiner issues. Which means that everything was well fitted to each other.
That is something I have never found in a Volvo.

 

Yeah, I guess all preference, I know my dad s60 out handles and out accelerates my car hands down.I know im comparing 2 cars in totally different ball parks. But the s4 is in that ballpark and the s60r is 5.4 0 to 60, where the 04 s4 is 5.5. I know thats nothing but the s4 has 42 hp more on it and the s60r is NOT even chipped which puts in to 350hp and mids 4s 0 to 60. Like i said, its all prefernce. But when i go for a spirited ride in a chipped s60r with 350hp, the last thing that comes to mind is it a joke.
