I just purchased a B7 A4 a few weeks ago. It was raining hard, I mean hardest of the year so far, and when I got into my car and turned the key this icon appeared. It went away after about 30 seconds, and since has not re-appeared. I couldn't remember what it looked like, but just found a pic of it, but with no description. I assume it has to do with the headlights.

 

It's the light sensor/rain sensor defective.

I know the sensors are located behind the rearview mirror, but are they independent? My auto lights are working fine, so it must be the rain sensor. Does the unit contain both sensor? I guess what I am asking is, will I have to replace both (are they combined) or can I replace just the one I need? Thanks!
