hello well i just got the car and they presented me with a warrenty for $1200, just spoke to a person who has a 2001 A4 avant and he said defently take it headlights will start to go timming belts (knew about that) and a bunch of other things do u think 1200 is worth it for a 2001 audi A4 quattro 1.8t with 56k miles only plan on keeping it another year before i sell it and upgrade to a newer audi.

 

it's a double edge sword. things could break and things could not. sum people have had timing belts last up to 80k. it's hard to say if it's worth it or not but it does settle ur heart from pounding outa of ur chest if anything does happen. also everything could be fine and u could have spent 1200 for nothing u kno wut i mean? i personally wouldn't buy it cuz i can work on cars myself.

 

yes i see where your comming from i just have heard horror stories about some of them really messing up but i might skip it sell it in a year and get a newer A4 or i hear that BMW has a 1 series twin turbo comming in 2008. Idk how much would timming belts be if i did them myself? or around how much if i had dealer or shop do them?

 

How long does the warranty last for?

 

2 year 100,000 miles for 12k

i have a 6 month warrenty but dont think it include timming belts from dealer
