wastegate / compression / dead turdo?
i had unplugged the waste gate and ran the car then unpluged the compression line and ran the car and nothing happened! dead turbo? should i be able to hear the turbo spooling up at all in a stock 97 a4?
i ask because i test drove a 99 a4 (stock no mods )today and i could hear the dv and also when i herd the turbo it put me in my seat and my car is nowhere even close to that

it sounds like the car you test drove had at least the air-box mod and possibly a chip...
you should install a boost guage
